If you are here, that means that someone gave you our card.

You may have questions about life, truth, direction, relationships, God, Jesus, etc.

At fxchurch we believe that the Bible is God’s word written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man.

Since the Bible is God’s word, we trust that it, “is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,” 2 Timothy 3:16

We also believe that Jesus was the ultimate picture of The Word and was God’s revelation of Himself to man.

John 1:1-4 says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He (Jesus) was with God in the beginning. All things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created. Life was in Him, and that life was the light of men.”

With that in mind, we embrace God’s word and a relationship with Jesus, not ourselves, to guide us in the way, the truth, the life, and relationships. Jesus said it like this, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

However, we have a problem. We have rejected God and have been ignorant of God’s word including His laws, statues, and ordinances. Even worse, we try to use His word and use Him for our own purposes and glory.

Have you upheld all of God’s laws?
Have you ever tried to make a deal with God?
Have you even upheld your own moral law and the deals you make with yourself?

The 10 commandments are familiar to most people and are found in Exodus 20. Have you ever told a lie?… taken something that wasn’t yours?… used God’s name in vain? Of course you have. We all have. Romans 3:23 says “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

When you break a law, you face judgement. You will be found guilty or innocent.

Hebrews 9:27 says “And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,”

Our guilt when we face the judgement of God in Hebrews 9:27 has a sentence. That sentence is death. Romans 6:23a says “For the wages of sin is death”

Revelation 21:8 explains further what kind of death the word that is. It is not just an earthly death we all face, but a second spiritual death. “But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

In our DNA, we have inherited a physical death because of those before us. The Bible tells us we have also inherited a spiritual death and separation from God in hell.

Fortunately, Romans 6:23 does not end with death. The full verse states, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Salvation and eternal life can not be obtained by working for it. It is a gift. That gift comes with a cost, but that cost can not be paid by us.

Romans 5:8 says, “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

The sentence of death was paid for by Jesus the Messiah dying, paying the penalty for us, and proving it all by raising from the dead. His death in our place for our judgment and the promise of resurrection is His gift to us.

Ephesians 2:1, 4-5, 8-9 says, “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins… But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us, made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses… For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift— not from works, so that no one can boast.”

Even if a gift is free, it still must be received. How do you receive this free gift?

Thankfully, we find this answer clearly in the Word. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

In Romans 10:9-10 states, “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”

Salvation is a gift that is received by confessing your sins to God and believing in your heart that Jesus rose from the dead.

This has been God’s plan all along so that you can know the way, the truth, the life, and transform your relationship with Him and others.

At fxchurch, we hope and pray that you will make the choice to surrender to follow Jesus by telling Him in prayer and then by telling others.

If you made the choice to surrender to Jesus, Jesus says you have been “born again”!
Just as a new born child needs a physical family to grow, a new born spiritual child needs a spiritual family.
The Bible calls that family a local church. If you want to better understand how to find a local church and/or explore more specifically fxchurch, click here.
