Pointed to faith by his grandparents and parents, he surrender to Jesus at Ball State his freshman year. He was called to serve the bride of Christ in April 1994 and his bride Susan in November 1995. Mat is a native Hoosier having served in vocational ministry in Indiana for over 30 years as a camp missionary, collegiate missionary, youth, discipleship, worship, associate, lead, and church planting pastor. Mat’s greatest joy is hearing that God’s children, including his 2 grandchildren, 3 children, and 2 son-in-laws, are walking in the truth. (3 John 1:4) You can find him doing construction, repairing things, reading, learning, enjoying music, sharing God’s word, and discipling men. He also handles the business and finance side of the church, and leads a re:group. His day job is providing managed IT to businesses operating on the Apple brand as President of Xforte Co. He moved to Bloomington and fxchurch as a student at Indiana University in 2016. While at IU, Luke started working at fxchurch as an intern in 2017 and was a student leader in fxCampus Ministry. Luke spent two summers working as a summer missionary at Highland Lakes Baptist Camp where he met his wife, Annie. Luke and Annie have one son, Judah.
